Shiv Sena Leader Rahul Shewale Meets PM Modi to Advance Dharavi Redevelopment: A Step Towards Transformation
In a significant move aimed at the redevelopment of Dharavi, Shiv Sena's prominent figure in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Shewale, engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During their interaction, Shewale presented a comprehensive compilation of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's works, symbolizing the rich legacy of the freedom fighter. Additionally, a statue commemorating Savarkar's perseverance while operating an oil press mill during his incarceration in the Cellular Jail at Port Blair was offered as a token.
Acknowledging the recent loss of Shewale's mother, Jayashree, Prime Minister Modi extended condolences during their meeting.
Representing the Mumbai South Central constituency for two consecutive terms, Shewale highlighted the significance of Dharavi, heralded as Asia's largest slum, within his jurisdiction. Addressing queries regarding Sena UBT's proposed march to the Adani office on December 16, Shewale emphasized the need to prioritize the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) and steer clear of politicizing this crucial endeavor.
